The Festival of Lights !

It’s that time of the year when everyone is celebrating the joy of giving, love, luck, happiness and prosperity ! … Everyone in every corner to India is celebrating the festival of Lights … Diwali.  Deepawali or Diwali is certainly the biggest and the brightest of all Hindu festivals. It’s the festival of lights (deep = light and avali = a row i.e. a row of lights) that’s marked by four days of celebration, which literally illumines the country with its brilliance, and dazzles all with its joy. Each of the four days in the festival of Diwali is separated by a different tradition, but what remains true and constant is the celebration of life, its enjoyment and goodness.

We thought of bringing you a glimpse of the Diwali celebrations specially, my yearly ritual of decorating my home, making Rangolis, dressing up and celebrating the festival in stunning style ! ♥♥

Collection of Diyas over the years collected from different Diwali mela’s, home decor shops and exhibitions around. It’s has been a ritual to visit the Blind School Mela, next to the Oberoi Hotel, New Delhi every year. Along with the local high street markets like Greater Kailash and other exhibitions around. Rio Grande is a must visit if you to want some good decor Diwali stuff, specially for gifting.  Westside, Lifestyle and Home Stop also offer beautiful lights and candles.
