The Capital, New Delhi was set abuzz with the Bridal India Fashion Week (IBFW) … It’s been a delight to follow all the posts, news and photographs of the beautiful celebs decked up in bridal pieces, walking up the ramp.
We loved all the designers …. and wish we could meet them all just one day. Here is a compilation of the our favorite looks and collection from India Bridal Week’s first edition in Delhi – Acclaimed designers showcasing their finest couture collection. Our favorite designers, outfits, Bollywood Celebrities and Showstoppers ! Some of the outfits left us mesmerized, speechless and astound!
JJ Valaya – The renowned couturier whose name is synonymous with opulence, royalty, and rich cultural heritage of India, especially, when it comes to haute couture. JJ Valaya marked the beginning of this extravagant bridal week with his grand show. We loved the combination of gold with red and royal blue. Very elegant, majestic and royal !

Muzzafar and Meera Ali presented the aesthetic abilities through this impressive collection comprising, lehengas, shararas, choghas and sarees, all decked with traditional craftwork of chikan embroidery, gota and zardozi. The collection had a very elegant feel, delicate and reminded us of Awadh.

Raghavendra Rathore presented his latest collection for men and women. Looking every bit dashing in a velvet jacket worn over a black kurta – Anil Kapoor walked the ramp as the showstopper. An actor we truly admire.
His bridal collection for men and women consisted mostly of his trademark bandgalas, jackets and coats. We especially liked the ensemble, with the bolero jacket attached to the long festooned gown.
Poncho-like tops in digital print, frilled gowns, velvet shrugs, and long robe like embroidered jackets were some of the eye-catching details that were seen in his women’s collection. We personally loved the use of rich colors like pink, purple, red and turquoise blue in his collection.
Head Gear … Beautiful, creative and very aesthetic
Love the red gown dress !
Suneet Varma presented his ‘The Golden Bracelet’. The pink and gold outfit work by Model Nethra Raghuraman was very pretty and our personal favorite was the red, silver and gold lehenga worn by Chitrangda Singh. Special mention for the styling and accessories including the headgear in gold, necklaces in shapes of twigs, spiral shaped long rings, and long spiral armlets. Cream colored lehengas, shararas, kalidar ,kurtas, intrinsic part of SuneetVarma’s collection, Spotted, shades of robin blue, maroon and black, beautiful cutwork jackets and dupatas in shades of grey and golden we absolutely loved Suneet Varma’s collection.
Rohit Bal left the audience completely spell-bound with his collection ‘The Mulmul Masquerade’ s WOW. Nayanika Chatterjee opened the show wearing a Victorian gown. Victorian look hairstyle donned by the models, frilled high collared blouse teamed with a saree and a long robe like floor sweeping jackets, reminded everyone about the Elizabethan era.
Sonam Kapoor – (our most favorite style icon) was the showstopper at Rohit Bal’s show. The actress looked stunning in an ivory and gold lehenga with gold Amrapali jewelry.
